24 About Our Real Estate Education Programs Today's students, tomorrow's leaders. Established in 1999, the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation honors the memory of Harold Eisenberg by fighting gastrointestinal cancer (the disease that took his life) and carrying on his legacy as a leader and educator with real estate education programs. Who We Are We are is committed to enriching and inspiring real estate students through unique educational opportunities. Our programs have been designed to provide exposure to and experience in the real world of real estate. We create opportunities and connections for real estate students. What We Do > Each year, we recognize outstanding achievement and potential with over $50,000 in scholarships . > The Mentorship and Career Counseling programs provide opportunities for students to experience the real working world through the eyes and mind of a real estate professional on one-on-one day-long journeys, or in hour-long career counseling sessions. > Career Day is an immersive two-day educational outreach program designed for young people who are looking to build a career in real estate. > The Real Estate Challenge provides student teams with a hands-on opportunity to apply what they are learning in their university courses to the real working world of real estate by creating a development plan for a real Chicago site. > The Scholar Program is a six-month experience that gives 4-6 exceptional real estate students the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with industry leaders for a deep dive into the working world of real estate. Each scholar receives a $5,000 scholarship at the end of the program. > Our Speaker Series, Accredited Courses, Summer Internship Program and Job Opportunities webpage have all been designed to provide students with exposure to and experience in the real world of real estate. By the Numbers More than 3,500 students' lives impacted. Many students later join our family of industry leaders who want to give back. Over 1,375 days of mentorship to date.
