5 A Word from the Executive Director This year, the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation celebrates its 20 th anniversary. For two decades, the foundation has been working tirelessly to accomplish its mission of funding critical gastrointestinal cancer research and providing innovative education programs to real estate students. In celebration of 20 years, I'd like to share with you…. 20 accomplishments: • 10 years of Eisenopoly, which now raises over $225,000 • 173 board members, 5 boards, ranging from ages 8 to 78 • 33,741 miles run for Team Eisenberg • 15 Real Estate Education programs • 3 GI Cancer Research Scholars working to advance cancer medicine • 20 Annual Dinners, which now raise over $500,000 • 642 active volunteers • 12 years of Career Day • 20 years of partnership with the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center • 75 scholarships awarded, totaling over $415,000 • 24,217 GI cancer tumor samples in our tissue bank for breakthrough research • 8 Annual Real Estate Challenges • 4 Emeritus Board Members – Thank you Marty Becker, Tom Collins, Richard Hulina, and Michael Weiner for 20 years of dedicated service to the foundation! • $1.5M to the GI Cancer OncoSET Program at Lurie Cancer Center, providing personalized medicine for patients with very limited options • 20 Real Estate Education Scholars • 1,375 days of one-on-one mentorship • 1 Family, still at the heart of what we do • The support of an industry - Thank you to the real estate industry! • Survival – There's no way to quantify or place value on time spent with those we love, but we are deeply honored to be a part of providing patients with more of it. • Legacy – We are more committed than ever to honoring Harold Eisenberg and the mission his life inspired. We are proud of what we have accomplished over the last 20 years and look forward to working with you to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Thank you so much.
