14 Associate Board T he Associate Board has three main objectives: to plan the annual Eisenopoly event, to grow and promote Team Eisenberg in their race for a cure, and to participate in existing and creating new programs, initiatives, and fundraising opportunities to advance the mission of the foundation. The Associate Board's original vision has truly come to life over the past several years. The 2014 SOLD OUT Eisenopoly event raised almost $100,000 for gastrointestinal cancer research. So far this year, Team Eisenberg runners have raised over $20,000 through their participation in races throughout the Chicago area. These funds will be used to fund gastrointestinal cancer research in partnership with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. The Associate Board has over 40 members, all of whom are young professionals from a variety of fi elds, including real estate and medicine. Many of these members participated in HEEF's education programs when they were students and are now interested in giving back. Members of the Associate Board form deep and lasting friendships from their participation in the Foundation's exciting programs. In addition to making a difference, they have a great deal of fun! If you are interested in getting involved in the Associate Board, contact us at info@eisenbergfoundation.org. The Associate Board promotes the mission of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation and furthers awareness of the Foundation's important work through special events, programs and fundraising.
