16 Program Spotlight: Real Estate Challenge HEEF's annual Real Estate Challenge provides students with a hands-on opportunity to apply what they are learning in their university courses to the real working world of real estate. Students work alongside industry leaders as they are tasked with real projects on the forefront of Chicago real estate. The 2015 Midwest Real Estate Challenge featured students from four universities competing against each other through a live presentation focusing on "Cap the Kennedy" - a project proposed by Fifield Companies in an effort to establish a more functional connection from Chicago's West Loop neighborhood to the downtown Loop/Central Business District. The team from Roosevelt University was awarded first place for their project, The Landing, which proposed a mixed use concept combining entertainment, commercial and tech. Fifield Companies sponsored the $5,000 scholarship to the winning team. PHILANTHROPY IN ACTION Real Estate Education
