5 WHO WE ARE Getting to Know the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation A Word from the Executive Director Dear Friends, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." – John Lennon Is it my imagination or does it seem like we all keep getting busier and busier? Our days are packed from morning to night. Time slips by so very quickly. In the midst of our hectic schedules, it's important to take a step back once in a while to examine what's important, to think about why we do what we do, to ask ourselves: How can I make a meaningful difference? How can I invest in creating a better future? These are the questions that guide me as a parent, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and in my role as HEEF's Executive Director. I know that they are what guide you as you consider where to contribute your valuable and limited time and treasure among so many worthy causes. For the last 17 years, this organization has been dedicated to fighting gastrointestinal cancers and to empowering young leaders through its real estate education programs. It has contributed to breakthrough cancer research that will continue to save lives. It has impacted thousands of students, advancing their careers and ultimately contributing to a more robust and connected industry. The mission has endured. The impact is deep and lasting. When you support this organization, feel confident that you are making a meaningful difference. You are investing in a better, brighter future. Thank you for making our work possible. We depend upon the generosity of individual and corporate donors like you. We are deeply grateful. Katie Hurley Wales Executive Director Katie Hurley Wales Executive Director
