These connections are often the first step towards a rewarding and well- rounded career in real estate. Philanthropy In Action Real Estate Education Connecting Students with Industry Leaders The beginning of a beautiful relationship Mentorship Program - Mentorships offer students an exciting opportunity to spend a full day shadowing an industry leader, one- on-one. Students get a front row seat and the chance to experience the real working world through the eyes and mind of a mentor. The Foundation boasts over 125 mentors and has scheduled over 1,200 mentorship days to date. Career Counseling - Building on the tremendous success of the Mentor Program, the Career Counseling Program gives students and young professionals the opportunity to meet one-on-one with industry leaders for short career counseling sessions over breakfast or lunch. Speaker Series - The Speaker Series connects real estate experts with students and business professionals through panel discussions, presentations or forums customized to the needs of the audience. Topics range from basic real estate principals and industry trends to offering key insights and suggesting financial strategies in the ever-changing world of real estate. Real Estate Networking Events - These events, held throughout the year, give current and former real estate students who have participated in the Foundation's educational programs the opportunity to network and connect with one another and with the real estate executives who so generously offer their time to the organization. Job/Internship Fair - Our annual Career Day program culminates with the Job Fair as a resource to both students and companies seeking new hires. Real estate companies have access to the best and the brightest students in the Midwest, many of whom find jobs as a result. Job Opportunities (online) - HEEF is a bridge between real estate students and real estate professionals. As such, our website features a section where potential employers can post job opportunities.
