6 Dear Friends, This evening, the Foundation's 18th Annual Dinner, is very special to our family. In many ways, the Foundation traces its roots to the first annual dinner in 1999 attended by 80 guests the night before ICSC Chicago Dealmaking. And while the Foundation has grown dramatically over the years to include several other events, an Executive and Associate Board, and an extraordinary full-time professional staff including our executive director Katie Hurley Wales and coordinator Britt Probasco, this retail real estate community remains the bedrock of the Foundation. Your dedication of time, your effort, and your energy to the various real estate programs – including the Mentor Program, Career Day, and Real Estate Challenge – enable the Foundation to have a tangible impact on the world. These programs have changed the career trajectory for literally thousands of students. In addition, your generous financial support allows the Foundation to provide critical funding to gastrointestinal cancer research at Northwestern. Yet there is still a clear sense within the Foundation that we have limitless potential, as well as the energy and drive, to do more – in terms of changing the lives of students and those diagnosed with GI cancers. We are excited you are here tonight and extremely grateful for your continuous support. Sincerely, The Eisenberg Family A Word from the Eisenberg Family Who We Are Getting to Know the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation
